Illustrated by Sneha Dasgupta (@the.inkpot), this image shows a woman’s hand holding three mirrors and each mirror reflects her differently

If you visualise yourself holding mirrors similarly, what do you see?

We know ourselves through the art and act of remembering.

bell hooks, Belonging: A Culture of Place

We all tend to curate and perform different versions of ourselves in different environments. This project invites you to take time away from these versions, spend time with yourself, and reflect on what all goes into making you ‘you’. What this will do is create your own unique inventory and in turn, an archive of you.

Why archives? All of us create records – our senses and brain are our recorders and we are an archive of them. Similar to traditional archives, we tend to store parts of our own lives by building our own collections. These can be tangible, like photos or intangible, like experiences. The goal is to explore knowing what we already know, but in different way – whether it is yourself, archiving or oral history.
